1. Overview
This Privacy Policy details how **kiroEmu** (the "App"), developed by **kirozxy**, processes and protects information on your Android device. We are dedicated to ensuring a secure and private experience for all retro gamers.
2. No Data Collection (Serverless)
**kiroEmu is a 100% serverless app.** We do not host any remote databases, track analytics, run background telemetry, or collect any personal information, ROM lists, or usage data. Your gaming habits remain entirely private to you.
3. Google Drive Sync & AppData Scope
The optional Cloud Save feature uses Google Drive API to backup/restore game save states:
- Scoped AppData: The App requests the `drive.appdata` scope. This scope is highly restricted and only permits the App to create, read, and write files in a hidden configuration folder allocated solely for kiroEmu.
- Zero Access to Personal Files: kiroEmu **cannot** see, edit, or delete any of your photos, documents, or other folders stored in your Google Drive.
- Direct Transmission: All syncing operations occur directly between your device and Google's servers. No intermediate server or third party is involved.
4. Device Storage Permissions
The App utilizes Android Scoped Storage and the Storage Access Framework (SAF) to let you select ROM directories. Local save states and battery backups are written directly onto your local storage. No local directory structure or file data is ever transmitted online.
